About Me

I began using the Internet in 1995, to do research in the field of vocational rehabilitation. That led to my co-authorship of Internet Disability Resources '98, a book & companion CD ROM with over 4500 links to online disability sites. It was a first of its kind reference work researched over a two-year period, canvassing sites in the United States and Canada.

Along the way I developed an eye for web sites that successfully reach their target audience through the use of design, content, interactivity and functionality. Learning how to do that intrigued me, which is how I came to be a designer and planner of web sites.

The work I've done in the past 5 years include sites for non-profit agencies, professional organizations, self-help groups, a book on raising teenagers and an award winning community portal for the San Fernando Valley section of Los Angeles.

Technically, I am largely self-taught, although I've taken several classes and used online resources to further develop my skills. Most of what I do is on a freelance or contract basis, working closely with my clients to help them establish a presence on the Internet.

I am also available for web site review, quality assurance and redesign projects for existing sites. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or if I can assist you with your Internet endeavors.
